The euro looks to have broken upwards sooner rather than later - given a shove up by the MPC who I think are desperate for sterling to weaken. Without wishing to depress you further Ambrose Evans Pritchard's at the telegraph online is always worth reading. <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/6095203/German-state-to-lend-directly-as-second-credit-crunch-looms.html" rel="nofollow">
Good luck

Hi Anna
I missed your yesterday's analysis on this pair but was pleased to see it looking very bearish today . I earn sterling and have a lot of euro commitments , for me this pair is range bound between 84.50 and 87 , but I am very depressed that the upside is much more likely with parity probable by early next year with only thing likely to thwart this is shocking eurozone deflation data or eurozone banking collapse

Hi Colin

Many thanks for your kind comments and also for pointing out the broken link which was much appreciated ( now fixed!!) With regard to an ECN, this is safer since you are not trading against the broker all the time, but naturally it is a balance between the volume of trades you place, the tax advantages of spread betting, and the ease and number of 'conventional brokers' - mopst are OK but some are very dubious so choose them with care. The best place to check is in some of the larger forums such as on fx street - hope this helps and many thanks once again - kind regards Anna

hi Anna,

I like your various sites and have been guided by your basic philosophy over my first few months trading - mixed results but worth persevering! (Started disasterously but worked back to even).

Wanted to use an ECN broker but couldn't find a UK based one covered by the FSA so got seduced by the 'tax free' offering of a leading spread betting site. However, I think the various restrictions they impose probably tilt the balance back to a straight broker. Do you have any comments on that? I am UK based and have concentrated on Euro/GBP up to now.

By the way the internal links you publish to your ECN Broker page is corrupted (you missed the 'ht' off the 'http'. Also, you say there is a link to Dukascopy on the page but I can't find it - you will be losing affiliate revenue!

Most impressed with the quality and volume of your site content and the Twitter commentary etc.
How do you find time?

Anna,

This certainly looks a bit like a short term long, and i think it may have run its course, theres an opportunity for some good short term shorts very soon, an initial burst then a breather before it continues for a longer period than the first burst, but will it drop the price back into the channel that it was in or will it stay just above using the channel as support. This may tell us if this 'long' break was just a sham.

This is the first of many videos which will be added to the site over the next few months. I will be adding my own shortly with my thoughts on the technical outlook for the euro to pound currency pair, and where perhaps to look for trading opportunities in the short, medium and long term.
